Katya Vladislavleva is CEO and chief data scientist at DataStories, a premium predictive analytics company headquartered in Turnhout, Belgium. Together with the DataStories team, she changes advanced predictive analytics from a complex and “don’t-know-where-to-start” game into something that anyone can play.
In addition to developing and deploying analytics solutions in small to large multinational companies, Katya has extensive expertise in data analytics research (University of Antwerp, Tilburg University), government consulting (for Germany), scientific advice (IWT, Belgium), and teaching and invited lectures at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Moscow State University (Russia), University of Antwerp (Belgium), Max Planck Institute for Informatics (Germany), Cologne University of Applied Sciences (Germany), and Fields Institute (Canada). She holds a Ph.D. in operations research from Tilburg University, a doctorate in engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, and an M.Sc. in intelligent systems from Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia).
